Description
For any who have battled addiction in whatever form, this image will seem self-explanatory I am sure. For my part, the psychological punishment of long term addiction left ever deepening wounds to the spirit. Scourged by Addiction, my spirit suffered immensely. However, the spirit is a remarkable thing indeed. Given time, the wounds can heal and the spirit can rise once again.

Beauty, pain and the survival of the soul, excellent emotive experience, very honest and raw.

John you created a Striking Image of the Disturbing and Searing Truth of the Addiction Curse! - Exceedingly Well presented with the Red Reflection - which is like Life giving Blood - draining out of the body ! -

That bright red glow, the refection and that surrounding world of gray. I know this moment as well. Wonderful and powerful work John. F/L.

You are always spot on, John-....Physical.mental and cultural addictions using the quick fix for problems and fears which have not been address or at times, even acknowledged.Sometimes a life long silent battle .The upright fetal position-and blood red saturation of wounds- a badge of courage.L and L

The figure is dramatic and the environment is not to be ignored as that is equally innovative. All beautifully done. Inspired by your personal experiences makes it special. FAVORITE.

A powerful image with an equally powerful title....I can certainly identify with this theme after overcoming my own personal demons. This reminds me that I have to maintain my vigilance, as the demons are always lurking in the background. Thanks for sharing.... and keeping the Spirit alive !!
