A man in an expensive suit walks into a room filled with wealth and opulence. The fact that he is fashionably late is meant to send a message to the man he is about to meet... a message that despite being a ruler... he could be kept waiting.
After exchanging formalities and niceties, the man in the expensive suit gets to the heart of the matter:
"The people I represent are willing to offer you a substantial amount of money, for which to deal with your problems, and perhaps to work on... expansion. All that we ask in return is for those whom I represent to be allowed to 'set up shop' in your fine country".
"What do you have in mind?"
"We have certain business partners and investors that would like to bring their factories to your country."
"This should not be a problem."
"We will need workers."
"We have plenty of workers."
"My clients have workers too... but they are very expensive... which of course, is the entire point of this meeting."...

Nancy Griswold
It is true, it is important to express our times and concerns through art. This commentary and documentary expresses of how many folks are feeling these days. You are brave and courageous to do these instead of hiding behind a field of butterflies to express thoughts and feelings through your art. Enthralling FVL
John Alexander replied:
Nancy Griswold, your kind words have made my day. Thank you!
Reynold Jay
I like the description too John! Lovely work of art FAV!

As ironic as life can sometimes be... this image has become a reality in my very own life and community. The factory that I have been working in for almost 20 years is being shut down. Like all too many of my fellow laborers... I am now at the wrong end of the hammer! Ah well... on to bigger and better things I say.
Mikhail Savchenko
IT IS ANOTHER GREAT ONE JOHN! SORRY FOR VITING YOUR GALLERY SO RARE... PASSING THROUGH SOMETHING SIMILAR AS IT IS ON THIS GREAT PIECE...
John Alexander replied:
Thank you Mikhail! It is great to hear from you my friend.

I like the title and presentation of this fine work. Saving is like beating your head against a wall. The upper 1 or 2 per centers in this country have the rest of us like puppets on a string....don`t you detest being at the mercy of these pukes? gold
John Alexander replied:
It sickens me. Such is the way of capitolism left unchecked.
Alaric Barca
Deep and striking, love the juxtapostion in the color!!!!
John Alexander replied:
Cool man... glad you like it.
Anita Zotkina

Friday morning the business man in his thousand dollar suit announces to his employees that he is closing the doors at his plant. He tells his workers what his plans are. He will be relocating his businesses to China, Mexico or perhaps Vietnam. That evening at home he tells his wife, "ya` know, old Henry and some of the others accused me of being unpatriotic, even anti American". I love my country. After all, look at the millions I`ve made in America. I wonder why those ungrateful bastards begrudge me making more money? They certainly are a greedy bunch aren`t they? hmmmmm? .
John Alexander replied:
Right on the money man... truth beyond measure my friend. It's enough to make one want to vomit.
Connie Townsend

Joseph Levine
You are most welcome to visit the Sketch Club anytime, John, but please advise your fashionably under-dressed anti-hero to leave his sledgehammer at home (unless he'd like to hold that pose long enough for us to capture the gesture...
John Alexander replied:
Ha! Will do Joseph. I will make sure not to share my coffee with him if he is going to be the clubs muse... rumor has it he is ornery as hell if he is made to wait for bathroom breaks.
Yvonne Nowicka-Wright
