This is really cool man, im going to buy a large print when i get the dough. It reminds me of a scene from the ancient aliens theory. Where men are first confronting the Nephalim perhaps? Its interesting that the giants are headless. Is there some symbolism behind that?
John Alexander replied:
Hey man, thanks for the great words! I truly appreciate the support. As for the meaning of the headless nature of the gods... this is meant to symbolize the 'unknown identity' of said gods. As I speculate into what faces they may take... I am not particularly left with a feeling of confidence. Thank you for sharing your thoughts my friend.

This particular work has such an element of mystery about it, an aspect you seem to possess a propensity for bro. It makes one shudder at the prospects that lie ahead...it can also portend a beautiful future if mankind can only change his present course. The concept, the truth lies with the viewer...a display of genius from the gold medal man...Sir John.....l.v.f.
John Alexander replied:
Dude, it is always a joy and a pleasure to hear your thoughts. When I created this one, it was with a sense of dread. We who are capable of such wanton destruction... we never seem to learn from the horrors of our own past. We continuously hammer our way down the same idiotic paths. When I did this one... I wanted the viewer to be part of the decimated crowd of survivors... wondering apprehensively at what is approaching. Will it be a sort of salvation... or simply the next round of psycho-social enslavement? As always, I thank you for your thoughts Dave. You are STILL the man!

Such a dynamic composition! I love the use of contrast that pulls my eye into the scene!!

Striking image, as to your question, most probable the same headless, e.g. brainless gods - we have always created... :-)
John Alexander replied:
That would be my guess. It is an innate condition for our species to fear death... and as such create reasons and rationales that placate that fear. And so it goes...
