The Immutable dream to me symbolizes the inability to reshape oneself in light of a personal flaw that is causing those around you to suffer. Whether it be addiction, selfishness, or stubborness... once you realise that the flaw exists, it can be a very real fear that it may not be fixable.

John I've been touring your website for a couple hours now.. Quite an adventure. I gravitate towards surrealism over most styles of art, and your work is a fine example of surrealism at it's best. Well done, keep on keeping on. Steve Sperry

Sir John no wonder this striking image won so many contests. Your art and visions are always unique, always powerful and always John striking. And this awesome 'stuck in ones inabilities' (Trump) vision is no exception. Great Art! :-)

In the course of my lifetime, I came to recognize many flaws in my own life. As the old adage states, nobody is perfect. Over time I have worked diligently to overcome my shortcomings. At 70 years of age I like to think I`m a better person for besting most of my flaws. I simply want to be a nice guy and I hope I have achieved my goal. Peoples flaws run the gamut. Everything from picking ones nose to shooting up on heroin. I truly believe that if a person wants to overcome his or her "bad habits" they can do it through sheer will power. John, this is such an awesome and honest post. Your works simply reek of truth. I anticipate your return to the world of creation bro. YOU DA` MAN
John Alexander replied:
I too have sought to eradicate the shortcomings of my persona over the years. I think about who I was as a young man and am embarrassed by many of the faults possessed during the ignorance of youth. As such, in many ways I am now the polar opposite of that version of self. I feel fortunate in that I have been able to recognize these flaws in my character, and even more fortunate to have been granted the strength to try and change them for the better. As always, I truly am thankful for your thoughts. Like you, I just want to be a nice guy and let people be who they want to be without any shit from me about it!

Knowing this magnificent creation is the product of his sons incredible imagination, it`s quite obvious why your father pulled the "W&C" switch. My man, you earn the prestigious "Santa`s Switcheroo" gold medal. (available only during December) l.v.f.
