Another Great John Alexander work of art ! - Indeed, as Reynold says- we are coming apart under the constant 24/7 stream of mostly useless information - and empty, mindless entertainment that masquerades as art ! -

John, once again you created a most thought provoking image with this somewhat disturbing superb artwork. Perhaps it is a depiction our increasing 'disconnecting' from people and nature...?

John Alexander replied:

Thank you very much Hartmut. Your thoughts follow mine in regards to this one. As always, I look forward to your thoughts and appreciate you sharing them. Cheers my friend!

Your work is very compelling, even to the point in some cases of being intimidating in that it seems to be telling stories that perhaps we viewers might be afraid to know. Worst case scenario, the story might be about something dark within ourselves or something dark just outside us, threatening the safety of our own seemingly secure personal worlds. Very unnerving! In some of your paintings, the symbolism and thus the message seem clear to me. In others, it's as if you are revealing part of a story, mid-stream, intentionally withholding from us the beginning and the end. You seem to be encouraging us to write our own scenario from the portion you've given us. In that way, I find your representational art to have much in common with the abstract, non-objective art that I do. You seem to be inviting the viewer to participate in the interpretation of your paintings. And as an abstract artist, I like that, very much. Powerful and engaging work, John!

John Alexander replied:

First of all, I would like to thank you so very much for these kind words Langley. They truly made my day. I would like to tell you something... you have managed to summarize so succinctly exactly what I set out to do as an artist. I would love for you to visit my website... I really believe that you would enjoy it. The work that I share here is but a portion of what I have done. Anyway, if you are interested, please visit me at www.sirjohnsworld.com. Once again, thank you for your wonderful observations. To recieve such powerful compliments from truly talented artists such as yourself really makes me feel like I have not wasted my time. -John Alexander (aka SirJohn)
