Indeed John, your very astute comment is once more currently (2023) vividly displayed in the murderous actions of PUTIN - who wildly and blindly trashes around in his darkest of dark no-brain-fog.

Deeply thought provoking. I want to know their stories. Why they came to be like they are at that moment. Fills my head with questions.

John Alexander replied:

There are plenty of stories that could be told with this one! So glad you like it.

John Alexander replied:

Yeah man... you got that right Hartmut.

John, I am loving how your portrayed anger here. Instead of vivid, colors and sharp lines you succeeded with the subject in a more subtle way. The surrounding water suggests so much. Excellent work. Onward!!

John Alexander replied:

There are so many shades of grey with anger... almost a fog like atmosphere. I am really happy that you like this one, it has been a favorite of mine for years ( as evidenced by my profile pic ). Thanks again my good friend.

Revisit... outstanding creation keeps attracting me back... love the direct expression....wow... 22" x 16" with this one? This piece could of go with any size... I so love-n-it, it's been a issue to me with working on small size canvas through out the years... you are awesome John !!!!!

John Alexander replied:

Fei!! How are you?? So happy that you stopped in for another visit. I truly appreciate the kind words my friend.

A startling and confronting image of a pathetic man paralyzed by his own inner demons of hate and of ignorance. A masterpiece showcasing the current mindset of fanatics like ISIS and other malevolent people and groups.

John Alexander replied:

Pathetic is a wonderful word to describe any hate filled fanatic willing to kill those of a different mindset. Thanks again for the words Hartmut... always a pleasure to hear from you man.

John, it`s possible that some people found this piece to be upsetting because anger is a big part of their environment. This work certainly brings the stark reality home to them...just an old farts take on it

John Alexander replied:

No doubt Dave. For many reasons, this could be like holding up a mirror to some. As always, I am humbled by your kind and supportive comments and spot on observations. You da man Dave... you da man.

A fantastic representation of a killer. I have witnessed first hand the results of anger and it`s not pretty bro. It has been a long time since I`ve had anger issues. It comes down to ones` own thought process. Simply put, we have choices. We can choose to be angry or not. A person can save himself a boat load of trouble by simply walking away. Anger leads to violence and violence is a tool of the ignorant....of course my man, you win the gold...L/V.....another masterpiece

John Alexander replied:

You are completely spot on Dave... we always have the choice of how we react to the world around us. We can choose the path of anger... or we can choose to let it go. Just as we can choose to be happy as opposed to viewing everything from a negative angle. You would not believe how many people I have met who only communicate through complaints!

I can see this in my living room and if friends ask what the title is " Do Not Piss Me Off " lol !....L/FV/FB share.

John Alexander replied:

Yeah, that would be a good way of putting it Yul! Years ago, I had an art show at a local coffee shop... this was one of the images that I had hanging in that little shop. It was a large format print, framed and matted in a gorgeous, ornate frame. Apparently, during the month that my work was hanging there, quite a few people found this particular image to be... unsettling. Not sure why??? LOL.

Another of your many startling and full of imagination great art works. This one has almost endless interpretation possibilities, from rigid ISIS thinking, and 'manly macho' and nationalistic tribalism narrowness, and....

John Alexander replied:

Once again, thank you for the comments and kind words Hartmut. Several years ago, I had this hanging in an art show I did at a local cafe. There were quite a few people who were freaked out by it lol. Not surprisingly, I did not sell any prints of this one during that show.

Such direct expression and powerful result !!! very liberal and heavy the same way...v/f

John Alexander replied:

Thanks again for the kind words Fei. Funny story: Several years ago I had an art show at a local coffee shop. My work hung on the walls for an entire month. THIS image was one of them. It was 22" x 16" surrounded by a gorgeous 3" matt and an amazing frame. It looks awesome. However... some of the coffee shop patrons found it to be... how should I say this... UNSETTLING. LOL.
