Description
Clear thoughts for you and I do not look the same to a fractured mind. What a horror story life must be to somebody who suffers from an illness such as schizophrenia.

👍 - A striking and disturbing image John, and perhaps even more so since there is an alarming rise of mental illness - coinciding with the rise and rise of the 24/7 relentless onslaught of computer based negative news and of troll infested social websites ! -

Wow! This is so stunning, John! I love the darkness and the crazy color/movement! The roots are so symbolic and the piece is perfectly titled. I've known someone with schizophrenia and I think you have done an excellent job of capturing the horror!
John Alexander replied:
Thank you so much for the kind words Lil... I am so happy that you like the image. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me.

Oh, yea, you are Quarterback for my team--just let the voices in your head call the plays--that is what both of me say.
John Alexander replied:
HA! That is funny as hell Joe. Thanks once again for the killer comments... I truly appreciate the support.

I have a schizophrenic nephew, his life is hell. And before I retired I knew this man who lived on the street, I strongly tried to get him to commit himself, because he kept getting beat up. He would not do it, even though he knew he was schizophrenic. Anyway I love the colors, and the meaning is quite clear to me! Well done.
John Alexander replied:
First, thanks for the kind words Joseph... I am glad that you like it. Second, thank you very much for sharing the story. To hear such thoughts really inspires me to keep doing what I do. Thank you very much for that.

John I knew a guy that the VA diagnosed as a schizophrenic. It was obvious the man was deeply troubled. This poor guy would never speak but, interestingly enough, he had a perpetual shit eating grin on his face. I often thought he was in some "happy fantasy land" that his mind had created...maybe, just maybe, schizophrenia has an upside to it in some instances (?)
John Alexander replied:
I don't know anything about that Dave... I suppose it IS possible. Although, from the things that I have read about and seen, it really doesn't seem all that swell.

John this is an amazing artwork. You lost it long time ago :))) the Great part is that You Have lots of Company "there" : All of US. Artists manage to touch that Reality and Make it Back thru the Emotions We provoke in our Viewers.
John Alexander replied:
Absolutely right my friend. We artists are rarely what normal people would call 'sane' I think. I am pretty cool with that! Thank you for the kind words my friend... deeply appreciated.

Another incredible piece of art you have here John!! What a brilliant mind you have!!! L/F x :)
John Alexander replied:
So happy that you like my oddball creations Emma. As you already know from your own remarkable creations... it takes plenty of time and effort to 'bring them to life' so to speak. Thank you once again for the support my friend.

Congratulations your creative and unique art work is featured in the "Out Of The Ordinary" group! Yes, I have worked with the mentally ill and this captures the feeling!
John Alexander replied:
Thank you once again for the feature Lyric, you are so kind to me and I appreciate that a whole lot. It offers a sense of validation to hear your comment on the subject matter. In truth, while I was making it, it really made me feel uneasy... putting myself in the proper midnframe for this was not comfortable. Maybe that seems odd, but that is the way it was. As always, thank you Lyric.
